Low Level Laser Therapy

Living DNA is both a receiver and transmitter of coherent light. Specific photoreceptors in the mitochondria of the cell are able to absorb monochromatic light in the red and infra red spectrum. (Similar to photosynthesis in plants)

Photobiomodulation Therapy also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a form of therapy that applies low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes to the surface of the body and has been proven to stimulate or enhances cell function, improve wound and soft tissue healing, reduce inflammation and give relief for both acute and chronic pain.

LLLT has also been promoted as one of the most recent and promising therapies for the prevention and management or Oral Mucositis secondary to cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy and has been shown to reduce the severity and duration of mucositis and to relieve pain significantly.
